Lemon Drop

Someone told me the other day that the newspapers are forecasting a temperature of 21 Celsius for Easter weekend. From where we are now, that is an increase of 15 degrees!

Whilst I appreciate that it is possible, I can’t help wondering if it is wishful thinking. Yes, the last two Easter breaks have been warmer than the weeks both preceding and following, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that this year will be the same.

21 degrees at the beginning of April??!!

Hmm, I will wait and see. When it comes to British weather I am a little sceptical, to say the least. Can you tell?

Anyway, with the weather (potentially) warming up, it is time for refreshing drinks. And they don’t come more refreshing than a lemon drop.

My obsession with lemon drops began after watching an American series called Greek (I know, I know, I should know better, but sometimes this is what you need). One of the leads, Casey, always ordered lemon drops and something in me was curious.

Really, they are like grown-up lemonade. But without the fizz.

  1. Sounds delicious. I don’t think it matters if the Easter temperature reaches the dizzying height of 21C for this to be an enjoyable drink… What have you got for 37C?
